As is our custom, the first working day of Fire Protection Month is devoted to the annual fire alarm test. This year it will be conducted on Tuesday, October 1st.Technicians from Affiliated Customer Service of Downers Grove will need to enter your unit to verify that all circuits from the heat detectors and to the audio/visual alarms are functioning. It should take no more than 15 minutes per unit.

The window for when you need to be home to admit the technician will be as follows:

• Building 1 (1200-1202-1204-1206): 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
• Building 2 (1201-1203-1205-1207): 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
• Building 3 (1211-1213): 10:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
• Building 4 (1221-1223-1225-1227): 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
• Crew break one hour
• Building 5 (7950-7852): 12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
• Building 6 (7940-7942-7944-7946): 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
• Building 7 (7930-7932): 2:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Please be home or arrange for someone to let the technician in for a few minutes to conduct the testing. If you cannot be home during your scheduled window, please plan for access with Chris (708-785-3090) or jack (630-320-9178).

A reminder will be placed on your door Thursday, September 26th.

We have had successful tests for the past two years. Everyone’s cooperation is requested so we can continue our streak!

Annual Fire Alarm testing is required and is vital for protecting us and our homes.

Affiliated Customer Service of Downers Grove, our alarm service company, will be conducting the annual fire alarm testing in all the homes in Ashbrook Place for the Darien-Woodridge Fire Protection District. A technician will need to enter your home for about 15 minutes between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to test all the alarm heat sensors.

Please be home or arrange for someone to let the technician in for a few minutes to conduct the testing. See below for more information:

• Annual fire alarm testing will be done on weekdays. This year the test date is Monday, October 1st. Testing will start at 8:00 a.m. at 1200 Ashbrook Court and proceed counterclockwise through the development.
• All units must be tested every year without exception. If your unit is not tested on the scheduled day, Affiliated will return once. If a third attempt is necessary you will have to pay $150.00.
• For those Owners/Tenants who are at work on the October 1st, or those who need to leave home before the test can be done, we are offering to escort the testers into your unit, supervise the testing and lock your unit when complete. If you need a tester escort, please call Chris (708-785-3090) or Jack (630-320-9178).

All of this is being done for safety and everybody’s cooperation is appreciated.
